Rental:

-$260. guaranteed funds deposit (cash, cashier’s check, money order). $35 is the connection fee, the deposit of $225 remains on your account until the account is closed using the utility disconnect form. The deposit is applied to any remaining balance on your account, and the difference is mailed to your forwarding address.

If you are opening a utility account, you may fill out the application online and email it to waterdept [at] newportnc.gov (waterdept[at]newportnc[dot]gov) to save you time on your visit to our office. If you are moving and need to close your account, you may email a completed disconnection form along with a photo of your ID to waterdept [at] newportnc.gov (waterdept[at]newportnc[dot]gov) or bring it into the office at 200 Howard Blvd.
